We already showcased the highlights of MondoCon 3 Day 1. On it’s second day, it was more of the same with a few surprises. Following on from last night’s Mystery Movie screening of The Witch and accompanying print from Aaron Horkey, we had a followup release from The Vacvvm. The regular and variant releases were stunning and inspired by one of the best horror films of the last decade. Fact. We also were treated to a beautiful 35mm print of Enter the Dragon and an accompanying release of Jock’s poster for the film. A release that it’s hoped will mark an ongoing Bruce Lee/Jock series.
Panel wise, there was a funny and insightful “Live Draw” panel where Mondo stalwarts Jay Shaw, Olly Moss and Jock, put together a Mondo Poster for the audience suggested Goldfinger in just over an hour. My suggestion of The Wicker Man making it to the last two choices, but sadly missing out. Finally, another “Mondo Talks panel” went down, much like last year’s where we got a look at a number of alternate takes of properties by artists that never got a release. Expect recaps on those in the next few days here at Cinapse, but for now, take a look at some photos from Day 2.
