I want to go on the record and shout it from the mountaintops that every single creative decision behind Creed that I’m aware of (without having seen it) feels like an amazing decision. Studios are greenlighting questionable movies with shaky premises all the time… but Creed feels different. A major, beloved franchise is handed to a talented, young, but proven writer-director in Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station). Coogler happens to be an African American man, and his lead actor of choice, the similarly young but also similarly proven Michael B. Jordan, is as well. Shifting Sylvester Stallone himself as Rocky Balboa into the boxing trainer role to give Jordan and Coogler a shot at a whole new Rocky franchise with a more African American focus is a stroke of pure genius that I believe will deliver one of the most thrilling films of the year.
So with that in mind, why don’t you come and see it early and free courtesy of Cinapse and Warner Brothers Pictures?

WHEN: Thursday, November 19th, 2015 at 7:30pm. Screening is at 7:30pm, but you’ll need to arrive quite early as passes are on a first come, first served basis and the theater will be booked over capacity.

HOW: Just head here and follow the prompts. You’ll need to create a free account and plan to print out your passes and have them in hand when you arrive early to the screening.
