WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES: Ed’s Guest Review on the AFTER THE CREDITS Podcast

The APES Trilogy Ends on a Strong Note

Easily my most anticipated film of the Summer 2017 blockbuster season, I’ve been thrilled to get the chance to guest on Matthew Monagle’s One Perfect Pod show After The Credits’ War For The Planet Of The Apes episode all summer.

If you’re unfamiliar with the show, the hook is that Monagle and his guests discuss the film in question in part before they have seen it, then regroup for an in-depth spoiler review after they’ve seen the film. It’s a cool premise that demystifies critics’ biases and lays out exactly what their thoughts on a particular filmmaker or franchise are as they walk into the theater, and how the film itself ends up working on them.

I had a blast participating in this episode. If you aren’t aware, I’m a massive fan of the Apes franchise since I was a kid. And Dawn of the POTA ended up being my very favorite film of 2014. So check out my in-depth thoughts on the franchise and the newest film.

You can listen to the first half of the episode spoiler-free below. Or subscribe to the show on your preferred podcast app. Big thanks to Matthew for having me on. I hope to do it again sometime!

And I’m Out.
