Ausinites know how good we have it here in Central Texas when it comes to movies watching. The illustrious Alamo Drafthouse chain, not only preserving the sanctity of the theater, allowing us to watch films without talking or texting, but also offering up the pleasures of food and drink (read alcohol), brought to our seats while we watch the latest release or one of their rep screenings.
What is less well known is how quickly the brewing industry is growing here in Texas, both in number and quality of local breweries. Championing these fine beverages is something of a remit of the Drafthouse and what better way than to pair what these magnificent bearded folk do best, with what they do best. Beer dinners!
Occurring with increasing frequency these days, you’re more likely than ever to find a brewery partner and cinematic selection to titillate your fancies. Last week, local hop pioneers Pinthouse Pizza brought their A-game for a screening of Major League, paired with a menu intended to “take you out to the ballpark”. It was a feast fit for Jobu himself! Checkout the menu and photos below to see what went down as well as see what’s coming up next week for a special presentation of Delicatessen with local brewing stalwarts Real Ale.

The Delicatessen/Real Ale Beer dinner goes down on November 2nd, tickets can be bought here. Hans!
