Between his martial arts ability and his willingness to do his own fight and stunt work as often as he can, he brings a unique spark to his starring roles that many other action movie headliners don’t. As you can see in my review of the film, director James Nunn’s (Tower Block) Green Street Hooligans: Underground tweaks the soccer hooligan movie formula just enough to give Adkins an opportunity to spin kick his way to victory in style. And if you haven’t seen any of the previous Green Street Hooligans films, I feel certain that won’t be a problem for you. I’m a fan of the first film (though I haven’t seen Lexi Alexander’s film since it first hit DVD), and haven’t seen the second one. The story here was as easily accessible as you’d imagine a soccer hooligan action movie to be, so don’t feel like you have to bone up on your Green Street Elite history to enjoy winning this one!
