MONDOCON 2016: Photo Recap

by Jon Partridge

We’ve already alerted our readers, and hopefully fellow Austinites, to MondoCon, happening again this weekend at the AFS theater in North Austin. The third installment in this ever growing and ever improving convention series, bringing artists and their wares from around the globe to our fair city. Pop culture, film inspired, original works and more await, and that’s before you get into the specific panels and special screenings. Highlights of Day one included an incredible Under the Skin print from Matthew Woodson, Con beer! and a screening of The Fountain with a moving Q&A that followed with composer Clint Mansell. We’ll have coverage of that and more in the next few days. But for now, feast your eyes upon our photo recap of the Con showcasing the booths, art, fans and general shenanigans. It’s the next best thing to being there!

If you’re able to attend, do so. Sunday tickets are still available and can be purchased at www.mondocon.com
